The Eastern Ontario Health Unit says a total of 102, 834 doses of COVID 19 vaccine have been administered across the region, including more than 52 hundred shots given at clinics and almost 16 hundred at hospitals and primary care facilities in the last week.
To avoid vaccine wastage the EOHU said it is extending the eligibility criteria for the standby list to ensure as many individuals as needed are available to receive remaining doses at the end of a clinic.
And beginning mid-June, the EOHU said it is planning vaccination clinics for youth between 12 and 17 years of age and their family members.
