Russell Township has announced the Embrun Branch of the Public Library will be relocating.
This week council approved to enter into an agreement with Embrun Co-op. The new library will occupy 5,000 square feet of the first floor of a new two-story building.
The move is scheduled for Fall 2026.
Russell Township said he new central location in the heart of the village offers convenient access for residents, situated near both residential neighbourhoods and commercial establishments.
For over a decade, the Embrun Branch has been located at Pavillon La Croisée, within École élémentaire catholique d’Embrun. This location was initially intended as a temporary solution.
