Several schools in eastern Ontario, including Ecole secondaire catholique Embrun, according to one media report, have been evacuated after bomb threats were made across the province.
Schools in the Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’Est ontarien, have been evacuated, along with numerous schools in northern Ontario.
OPP are also investigating numerous bomb threats in northern Ontario.
OPP said the threats targeted multiple schools under multiple school boards across northeast and northwest regions, demanding payment. Affected schools have been closed as a precaution.
At last word, no evidence of any devices has been found.

Locations In Northern And Eastern Ontario Targeted, No Actual Devices Found
(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating multiple bomb threats across parts of Northe rn and Eastern Ontario.
The threats targeted multiple schools under multiple school boards and other facilities, demanding payment.
As a precaution many targeted schools and facilities have been closed while the investigation continues. Parents are encouraged to contact their schools or school boards for more information. In additional to local officers, the OPP Cybercrime Investigations Team is engaged.
The public is always encouraged to report any suspicious activity that could be a risk to public safety.
